Letter from the CCFA President
Dear Colleague,
This year’s Advances in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, Clinical & Research Conference will feature the latest information on IBD treatment and emerging research. This is the event for those who study and manage IBD patients. By attending the Advances conference, you will participate in the highest quality sessions presented by expert specialists and top thought leaders.
CCFA’s mission is to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. To that end, I am pleased to share that our flagship events Team Challenge and Take Steps have not only increased awareness of Crohn’s and colitis tremendously but also raised millions of dollars over the past few years for research into a cure. We are progressively trying to encourage more people to get involved to help raise awareness of and funds for IBD. Learn more about how to get involved by visiting ccfa.org or our booth at the conference.
You may or may not be aware that the 2010 conference has been endorsed by three leading industry organizations, the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG); the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA); and the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition (NASPGHAN).
The Advances conference makes it possible for clinicians and researchers from all over the world who are working to understand the causes of these often debilitating disease to come together to share and gain knowledge. We hope these endorsements will provide greater exposure of the conference to new audiences in the gastroenterology community and reinforce the importance of past participants to return for this year’s program.
As always, we hope that you will join us and register for the 2010 conference. We appreciate sharing your positive experiences with other professional colleagues as well.
With best regards,
Richard J. Geswell,
President
